OLLI 0206 - Epstein Elite: A Network of the Powerful
Course Description
Jeffrey Epstein has been called a “Dark Connector,” who served as a gateway between important people - quietly helped them with financial problems, arranged them meeting with each other for business matters, assisted them with their sleazy romantic adventures, and got jobs for their kids. Anand Giridharadas, a journalist, has studied all the released Epstein Files and has written a series of “chapters” on the “Epstein Class” where he reveals the operating system of modern power and the behaviors of the elite. The course will discuss who the members are of today’s network of the wealthy and powerful, how the creation of such an elite class in the US thwarts democracy, and how we might get it back. Participants will be sent a link to the Anand Giridharadas chapters along with discussion questions. The course will be In-Person Only. Presenter Dale Olen is a retired clinical psychologist.
