OLLI 0167 - Reflecting on Current Events
Course Description
This course focuses on current events and “breaking news” in areas of general public interest--including government operations and decision-making; civil and human rights advocacies; promotions of the Rule of Law domestically and internationally; equal protection and due process challenges; law enforcement and community-based policing; and prosecutorial and judicial proceedings, among many others. Based principally on invocations and assessments of news reporting and publicly-available information, participants are afforded opportunities for a-political, non-partisan consideration of the major justice-animated events of our times, including opportunities for questions and observations about them.
