HLSC 0019 - Lower Extremity Mobilization: Comprehensive Manual Therapy for Hips, Knees and Ankles
Course Description
Lower extremity pain is one of the most common sources of disability in the general population. It makes up a large portion of the patients being seen in the outpatient rehab setting. Manual therapy has proven to be an effective modality to improve ROM, restore joint mechanics and decrease pain in the lower extremities. This course intends to simplify evaluation and treatment for the most common lower extremity dysfunctions through manual techniques. This is a hands-on course that is meant to impart a streamlined approach for mobilization of the hips, knees and ankles. A brief overview of therapeutic exercise and self-mobilizations will be covered to improve long-term effectiveness of the manual techniques.
