Course Description

Application for 2026 Cohort is now closed.

If you are interested learning more about the 2027 Cohort, please email sce-businessmanagement@uwm.edu

Take your coaching to the next level by becoming professionally certified through the UW Certified Professional Coach Program (UWCPC). This Level 2 International Coaching Federation (ICF)-Accredited Coach Training program gives you the tools to better guide, inspire and empower others through coaching.

Using a mix of hands-on experience, peer practice and a Wisconsin Idea project, the UWCPC delivers foundational coaching skills to expand into the deeper work of coaching. Curriculum is designed to develop your confidence, competence, and presence needed to become a professional coach.

By the end of the program, you’ll understand who you are as a coach and how you can fully honor differences in the coaching space. You’ll also be prepared to pursue the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and/or the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation.

Course Details

During this Level 2 program, participants spend the first semester learning alongside those completing the UWCAC Level 1 certificate. After building key foundational coaching skills together in the first half of the cohort, Level 1 participants complete requirements to earn their Coaching Associate Certificate.

Level 2 participants go on to complete another semester of coursework to develop a deeper understanding of coaching, ultimately completing the requirements to earn a Coaching Professional Certificate.

See additional program details.
